Chic Park Ranger

Hellu!

I hope everyones week is going well so far :)

From the moment I ordered these Lucky Brand "Tablita" boots, I have been dreaming up outfit ideas in my head. I have been wanting a pair of brown, suede, little heel ankle boots and wouldn't you know, I was just on Piperlime randomly and stumbled across these beauties :)

Ankle boots are so awesome as they are an easy transition from Summer to Fall. Right now they can be worn with sun dresses and shorts, and in the Fall they can be worn with jeans and oversized sweaters! Gosh, I'm ready for Fall already!

But anywho, lets get into the look shall we :)

Hey now! I'm away from the brick wall! :)

We've been having some awesome weather here in La La Land so I'm finally able to get some sun on these legs!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Church Style

Happy Sunday Everyone :)

I bought this dress at Gap a couple of weeks ago and I was a little hesitant because I'm not a big fan of cats and this entire dress is filled with them, BUT it was just so darn cute! lol

Along with maxi dresses, I love a good shift dress since they are as comfortable and roomy which describes this dress perfectly!

From my Pantry:
Dress: Gap/ Shoes: Rachel Roy/ Handbag: BCBGeneration/ Earrings: H&M

Another sale score! This dress was about $10 at Gap! Please run to your nearest Gap as their summer sale is the bomb diggity! (Do people still say that?... Did people ever say that?) Anywho, this dress was a steal and I was super excited!

I got this handbag for $17 during the BCBGeneration 70% off sale. I was once again sooo excited when I found out the price and snatched it up quick! I should have went ahead and bought more in the other colors :(

By this time I'm probably deciding to put my glasses on so I can see!

Much better! lol

I hope you have a lovely week :)

Maxi Dress

Happy Friday!

I've finally come out of hiding with a Style Me Friday post :)

I love a good maxi dress and wear them year round. Now that it's actually summer, there are tons of maxi dresses in the stores and I am loving it!

Here is a look I wore earlier this week.

From My Pantry:
Hat: H&M mens department :) / Maxi Dress: Gap/ Scarf-Sweater: BCBGeneration/ Sandals: Report

I scored this dress for $11...ELEVEN DOLLARS!! I love a good deal and to be honest, everything in my closet was bought on sale. I get it from my mom who is a bargain hunter and always has the cutest dresses and shoes and...well everything lol

Since I bought this hat a couple of weeks ago I have worn it nonstop. My head usually doesn't fit hats, but then it dawned on me to check out the mens department and this hat fit me pefeectly. I was sooo ecstatic!

I will definitely be wearing this look throughout summer!

I hope you have a lovely day :)

Cupcakes and...Beer??

Happy Monday Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great weekend :) It was my mom's birthday so I was a cooking and baking machine!

I stumbled across this Chocolate Stout Cupcake recipe and was immediately intrigued! I know alcohol can definitely be used in chicken and other meats, but in a cupcake?! Who knew!

My mom told me of a really good stout from Trader Joe's called Boatswain Chocolate Stout and it was absolutely perfect! So if you are making these cupcakes, PLEASE buy this stout!

BTW, you definitely do not need to add stout to the cupcakes, but I thought it added a little kick!

From Left To right:
Unsalted Butter, Baking Soda, Salt, Vanilla Extract, Cocoa, Cream Cheese, Flour,
Sour Cream, Sugar, Heavy Cream, Confectioners Sugar

I took this recipe directly from Food Network and I think they turned out great!

It took everything in me to not taste this batter! It smelled Uh-Mazing!

Into the oven they go!

In order to ice the cupcakes as neatly as possible,
I put the icing in a ziplock back and cut a small hole in the bottom corner.

Ta-da!!

This cupcake was inhaled RIGHT after this picture was taken lol

Thanks for stopping by :)

Style Me Friday!- Fashionista Next Door

Hellu!

I decided to join the awesome Style Me Friday link-up created by Eboni from The Fashionista Next Door! I absolutely love her style and when I created my own blog I just KNEW that I would have to be involved with Style Me Friday.

Every week, Eboni posts a fashion look for us to recreate in our own way. You definitely do not have to have a blog to participate so I don't know why it took me so long!

Anywho, this weeks inspiration was peplum!
Yup, I'm back in front of the brick wall :)

From My Pantry: Top: Forever21| Jeans: Hudson| Shoes: Steve Madden| Sunglasses: Ray Ban|

I heart these shoes so much! I wear them every chance I get especially because they're so comfy!

Hope you're having a lovely evening :)

Yummy Stuffed Bell Peppers

I made this for dinner last night and it was a hit! It's a super simple recipe and you can definitely change up what you decide to stuff in your peppers.

I usually stuff it with ground turkey and quinoa, but this time around a replaced the quinoa with white rice. I'm sure it would be great with ground beef or chicken along with any other grain.

Ingredients: mozzarella cheese, onion, bell peppers, tomatoes, tomato paste, ground turkey, white rice

Seasonings: sea salt, red chili pepper, black pepper, garlic powder, 21 seasoning saulte

My favorite seasonings...for basically EVERYTHING!
That image with the lighthouse behind the black pepper is Trader Joe's Sea Salt.

Steps

After cooking your ground meat along with your chopped onion and tomato, add about two cups of cooked rice to the meat mixture. Then add the tomato paste, and about 1/2 cup of cheese and mix thoroughly.

For the bell peppers, I like to parboil them for about 4-5 minutes to get them soft before stuffing them.

Once done, I simply stuff my meat, rice, and cheese mixture into the pepper and top it off with more cheese :)

Pop them into the oven to bake for about 20 minutes and they are good to go!

Hope you enjoy :)

Polka Pastels

I have a thing for nail polishes...okay an obsession with nail polishes. Figuring out what color to polish my nails with can be challenging so I usually just end up using multiple colors! Problem solved :)

I'm loving pastels right now, especially on nails so when I saw this look on tumblr I knew I had to replicate it!

Here are the colors that I chose
From Left to Right:
 China Glaze-For Audrey| OPI-Do You Lilac It| Sally Hansen- Mint Sorbet|
OPI-Japanese Rose Garden| Wet n Wild- Club Havana

Want to recreate the look too?

To start of, I made sure that my nails were nicely cleaned and filed.

I then applied OPI Start to Finish Base and Top Coat.
Isn't that such a cool idea to have both base and top coat in one bottle?

Then I applied two bases of each color on my nails. I like to take the brush, add a drop of nail polish to the middle of my nail and work my way out to the outer parts of the nail.

After letting it dry, I took a toothpick and dipped it in my white nail polish and carefully made little polka dots across my nail! I'm sure you can just use a nail pen for that for an easier application :)

Spoiled by Wet n Wild- Correction Tape

...and Voila!

I'll definitely be doing more nail tutorials throughout summer! I have a bunch of fruit-inspired nail designs that I would love to show ya'll!

Have a great evening :)

Sunday Funday

This is the look I wore to church today. I am in looovvee with these heels! They are surprisingly comfortable which is something I can't say for majority of the heels in my closet. I know..it's a shame :(

I'm also loving pencil skirts at the moment. Especially ones in cute colors and prints which makes them more youthful!

I was already running out of ways to pose lol

I hope you had a lovely Sunday

From My Pantry:
Shirt: Bar III-Macy's | Skirt: Express |  Shoes: Steve Madden | Earrings: Express |
Bracelets: Macy's, Topshop, Express, and other random stores that I can't remember, sorry ya'll

P.S. I definitely have to find somewhere to do these mini photo shoots because this brick wall is not cutting it!

Hi!

Welcome to My Style Pantry!

After much prodding from my mom and friends, I have decided to start a blog! Whoop!
